Information for our Contestants
We will be updating this page with important information for our Contestants. Please check back often for the latest updates.
- REGISTRATION 7PM TO 10PM ON TREASURE ISLAND AT THE WINERY SF, 200 California Avenue, Building 180, Treasure Island, CA.
- All Contestants wishing to stay at Driscoll Friday night and pick up their numbers Saturday morning at secretarial MUST pay in full online prior to Friday night with no changes to their entries. If you have changes or need to find a partner, you MUST come to registration to do so or send a representative.
- Please be aware that during the Grand Entry ceremonies there will be a Mounted Shooting quick performance. If your horses are not accustomed to gun fire, please feel free to walk them to the far part of the pasture during that short run.
- Contestants wishing to DRY camp on the grounds, please call Popper @ 480-495-4321 in advance to make sure you have a spot. The sites are very limited. $25 per tent, $45 per RV for the weekend.
- You will not be able to access the grounds until Friday Sept 9th, 2011 at noon: Please email or call Popper for any arrangements needed. 480-495-4321 or pauldubray@gmail.com
- If you wish to stay on the grounds to camp, there will be dry camping allowed only. There is a fee of $25 for tents and $45 for RV's… please call ahead to make arrangements. This means no showers are provided and there will be no dumping of grey water on the ranch property. There will be Port-a-Potties. This is now a Historical Ranch foundation. There will be no open flame fires (i.e. camp fires) allowed on Driscoll Ranch Property.
- All horse contestants will be parked in the designated area along the back section closest to the wooded area. The arrangements of trailers can be discussed with Popper to minimize any possible public traffic. The area WILL be corded off to separate contestant vs. public traffic.
- Contestants wishing to stay down at Driscoll and not attend Friday night Registration will be allowed to prepay entries only and receive their numbers from secretarial on Saturday morning prior to the start of the rodeo. YOUR entire bill must be prepaid online. Any adds or deletions or partner changes will require you to either send a representative to registration or come yourself.
- NOTICE: We have changed the hours of registration to 7 pm to 10 pm due to the nature of SF traffic and other weekend activities scheduled in SF.
- Bedding will be available at the grounds in limited quantity; if you need to preorder bedding please contact Popper. We will not be having an onsite/on call feed store. Please come prepared.
- Horse contestants will be able to use the arena for warm up Friday afternoon and at the Arena Director/Rodeo Directors discretion prior to horse events. Please understand there will be time allowed for running of stock on Friday. I will make sure this time is appropriate.
- We have tried to make the grounds as user friendly for all contestants by fencing off designated areas. We are hoping the flow makes sense for those coming from the back grounds area
