Camping Information

There is a lot of excitement over our 2011 Camping rodeo. This will be the second year the Bay Area has been allowed to officially camp at Driscoll Ranches. As a result of this continued opportunity, there are a few restrictions and guidelines that will be STRICTLY enforced. Our goal is to provide a weekend retreat allowing a good SAFE time for all.

We will have 24 hour security and have a ZERO tolerance for out of hand guests. If you are unsure, ASK NOW before booking and reserving your camp spot.

Also, all camping fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Camping Spots - Contestants and Visitors (Non-horse Contestants)

Camping will be pre-assigned prior to the rodeo dates. This area is designed for those who are planning on tent camping. This information is not for trailer campers or horse contestant campers. The camping price is per person, not per site. If there are four people in one site there will be an expectation that each camper will be paid for, and wearing a camping wrist band.

We will start accepting camping reservations on March 16, 2011. Check back here for more details.

All camping MUST BE PRE-PAID prior to entering Driscoll ranches.

The camping spaces will be pre-marked by number, please check out our map (available starting March 16, 2011) to determine which numbered space you like. Once you spot the site you like, register online and pay for the site. Our camping manager will send you a confirmation of the site and amount that you have paid for.

Upon arrival to Driscoll Ranches, you will check in at the parking/ticket booth and receive your camping packet.

Campers will be given wrist bands for the weekend, and must be worn to be in the camping areas. Those who are found in the camping areas without the proper wrist band on will be asked to pay for the night or will be asked to leave.

Camping Spots – Horse Contestants

Those contestants who will be bringing their horses will be assigned a different area for camping. These spaces are closest to the arena and horse stalls and are preceded by “H” in front of the number, i.e. Camp site H1, H2, H3. Also, the horses will be kept in their stalls, so technically, you won’t have a horse in your site, unless you are saddling up!

You must be an active IGRA member to compete with a horse and reserve a horse camping spot. When you register for your campsite, include your IGRA number. Those who register for a horse camping site and show up without a trailer will loose their spot and be reassigned to the tent camping area, if available.

Our grounds WILL NOT have electrical hook ups, so if you have a QUIET generator, you are more then welcome to bring those.

For the safety of our horses and our contestants, wrist bands will be strictly enforced. We will have 24 hour security to monitor the grounds and our safety. As a reminder, everyone staying on site in a trailer must have an individual wrist band on. Those who are found without a camping wrist band after hours, will be required to pay, or asked to leave the grounds.

Non compliance will result in ejection from the rodeo grounds and removal from competition.
