Returning to Regularity

It's been too long since we've put out one of these news blasts... far too long. As we ramp up to rodeo weekend, you can expect to start seeing updated news every couple of weeks or less. Additionally, to ensure you're kept informed of immediate activities, you may start seeing targeted emails from other committees from time to time via our chapter member and rodeo team e-groups. Be on the look out for those.

Now... on with this week's important news...

Chapter Meeting: TONIGHT!

We have an important meeting for the chapter tonight (July 10th) at the LGBT Center (Octavia & Market) in San Francisco. In addition to a bit of regular business, we'll have a creative, open discussion on a new "re-branding" effort for the chapter. We hope you can make it as your input in the future marketing efforts of our chapter our highly valued. The meeting kicks off at 7 pm in room #305 of the center. See you there.

Rodeo Production Team Meeting: TOMORROW!

The next production team meeting for the Rodeo Committee is being held tomorrow (July 11th) in the community room above the Bank of America at 18th & Castro in San Francisco. Final planning and production for this year's Best Buck in the Bay is in full swing and the team could really use your participation. The meeting kicks off at 7:30 pm sharp. For more information, contact Douglas Graff (rodeo director) at rodeo@bayarearodeo.com

Buckin' Alley: Saturday July 28th

Our next quarterly dance event, Buckin' Alley, is being held on Saturday, July 28th at the Cathedral Hill Hotel (1101 Van Ness Ave.) in San Francisco. Doors will open at 8 pm and we'll be serving up great non-stop country-western dancing until 1 am. This night of leather, sweat, denim, and dancing is being co-presented by the San Francisco Fog Rugby Team, so you know it's going to be a fantastic fun night. Admission is $10 (unless you become a member of GSGRA, in which case it's always free!). See you there!

Volunteers Needed
Coming to the dance on the 28th? Why not help us out with setup, door, or teardown? Volunteers are still needed. Contact the event captain, Douglas Graff (rodeo@bayarearodeo.com) for more information.

"Up Your Alley" Street Fair: Sunday July 29th

Great news! We have a beer booth this year at the "Up Your Alley" street fair in San Francisco. This is the hottest leather/fetish themed street fair in the city and it's always a fun time. Join us for a few hours by helping out in our beverage booth for a few hours. This is a tremendous fundraising opportunity for the chapter and your help is highly valued. For more information, please contact Mikel Edwards and Skot Land by emailing dore@bayarearodeo.com

Do You Have News? Comments? Suggestions?

The Bay Area Chapter board very much wants to hear from you. It is through your input that we can continue to make this organization better. Do you have news about upcoming events we should be letting everyone know about? Do you have comments or suggestions for future chapter events? Do you have feedback on what we're doing well, what we could do better, and perhaps what we're currently doing wrong? Don't hesitate to contact any of us by emailing board@bayarearodeo.com.
