Latest Chapter News Wednesday, February 7, 2007 What a Dance! Last Saturday night was another wonderfully successful dance event for the Bay Area Chapter. We danced non-stop all night thanks to the fabulous mix provided by DJ Rick Burrows! We presented our 2006 beneficiary--Project Open Hand--with a grant of $10,000! And one lucky attendee went home with a shiny new red iPod. Thank you to all that made it out for the party and thank you to the volunteers who helped set it up and make it happen. Chika for Empress Bay Area Chapter member and last year's Bar Manager for the Best Buck in the Bay--Chika (aka, Phillip Evans)--is running for the Imperial Court title of Empress of San Francisco. Country Karaoke - March 10th We're returning to the famous Mint Karaoke Lounge (Market St. @ Duboce, SF) for an evening of fun and country-inspired karoke on Saturday, March 10th from 4 pm to 8 pm. Bring your friends and come join the fun. Even if singing is not your thing, it's a great time to socialize and meet others in the community. It's the perfect opportunity to get everything you need for the upcoming Grand National Rodeo night out or for your next trip to Sundance Saloon while enjoying the festive atmosphere that's assured when we all get together. To get there, we have arranged a special "party bus" that will pick up in San Francisco immediately following our Country Karaoke event.
