Wow! What a great weekend this is going to be for the Bay Area Chapter. As you probably know by now, we're hosts for the annual GSGRA convention on Saturday. The meeting is sure to be great, but it's the fun and many suprises we have in-store for you around every corner that will make this weekend magical.

These past couple of weeks a few of us have been working feverishing to plan the parties, put the finishing touches on the royalty competition, and pull together what will be a great dance event on Saturday night. In the process, we've gotten a few sneak peaks at what has been planned for step-down numbers, not-to-be-missed command performances, and the surprises in store for you all at Friday night's kick-off party. Let's just say...this is going to be a weekend you'll never forget.

Here's a quick summary of what's going on:

"Misters of GSGRA" Happy Hour - January 27th

Before the royalty party, join the Misters of GSGRA for a special happy hour at Daddy's (440 Castro, SF) supporting the San Francisco Fog--our community's own gay rugby team. 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

"Past, Present, & Future" Royalty Show - January 27th

Marlena's Bar - 488 Hayes St., SF - 9 pm to Midnight. The 2005 Bay Area Chapter Royalty team hosts an evening packed with great performances from past, present, and future gay rodeo royalty.

GSGRA State Convention - January 28th

Cathedral Hill Hotel (1101 Van Ness Ave., SF) in the Pavillion Room (4th Floor, by the pool) from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. The cost of convention registration is $40 and includes a fully catered lunch as well as ensuring you free admission to the Western Winter Ball later that evening.

GSGRA State Royalty Pageant - January 28th

Cathedral Hill Hotel (1101 Van Ness Ave., SF) in the Grand Ballroom from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Includes Western Wear, Public Presentation, and Entertainment competition. The evening will also feature special guest performances and the final performances by Mr. GSGRA 2005-Steve Wollert and Miss GSGRA 2005-Miss Trout.

Western Winter Ball - January 28th

Come celebrate Winter with the Bay Area Chapter when we host the Western Winter Ball--an evening of non-stop country-western dancing for the LGBT community. The event kicks off at 10 pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Cathedral Hill Hotel - 1101 Van Ness Ave, SF. Admission is $10, but if you come for the royalty pageant happening earlier that evening, admission is free.
